Assessment Task 3: Mid-Placement Competency Assessment |
Task Description: |
You are required to engage with your placement supervisor in a formal review of your progress in developing required competencies at the mid-point of your placement (i.e., when approximately half of your psychological practice hours for the placement have been attained). The outcomes of this review will be shared with the External Relationships Liaison (Psychology) staff during the mid-placement meeting that occurs subsequent to completion of this formal review. If it is identified that you are experiencing difficulties in achieving the required competencies a remedial plan will be developed between your supervisor, the External Relationships Liaison (Psychology) staff, and yourself to support your progression towards achieving these competencies.

Assessment Task 4: End of Placement competency assessment |
Task Description: | You are required to undertake a formal review at the end of your placement (i.e., when all your psychological practice hours have been attained and/or the agreed end date as negotiated with your placement provider). During this review, your supervisor will assess your progression towards required competencies for practice in Clinical Psychology.
Consideration will be given to all activities undertaken during the placement including observation of your skills, engagement in supervision, written correspondence, client care, administrative efficiency and professionalism with an emphasis on activities that have occurred since the mid-placement competency assessment. If you are unable to achieve a UP grade on this task you will be awarded an NN for this task and this unit.
