The unit will include: (a) the basic facts and concepts relating to the human body's structural and functional organisation at different levels (cells, tissues, organs, systems), and the constituent regions, parts and organs of several body systems and their functional interactions; (b) the range of normal variation in human anatomy and physiology, and the relationships between structure and function; and (c) anatomical and physiological terminology that will enable you to discuss facts, concepts, problems and biomedical issues relating to the structural and functional organisation of the body. |
