Task Description:
This assessment task aims to synthesise and extend your theoretical and practical knowledge of sustainable human resource management and corporate sustainability. You will need to develop a strategic pathway via HRM to help a firm achieve its economic goals whilst fulfilling its social and ecological responsibilities to the broader society.
In completing this assessment task, you will develop and demonstrate your ability to translate theoretical concepts into management practice by:
a) identifying the role of HR professionals in advancing green HRM in corporate organisations and
b) determining how HRM principles and strategies can be harnessed or advanced to generate value for corporate organisations and the wider society.

To complete this task:
(b) Write a management report to the managerial leadership of your organisation on the benefits/value of green HRM which is becoming a catalyst for organizational success and sustainable development. Assessment Task 2: HR Metrics Report
Task Description:
You will be given a case study and a set of data on Mylo.

You must use the HR analytics techniques to analyse the data provided. Then, you
should write a formal report explaining the findings and give some recommendations.
Bear in mind that the assignment format is a formal report, and visualisation (e.g.,
graphs, tables, figures, etc.) of the findings is critical. You should submit the report on
Mylo through the ‘Assignment Box’.

Important factors to consider:
▪ Using graphs, tables, and figures to report the analysis result is essential.
▪ Providing recommendations based on your analysis is essential.
▪ Providing calculations as an Appendix at the end of the report is essential.
▪ Adhering to the word limit: 1500 words – with a leeway of 10% (1350 words or
1650 words). This word limit does not include the cover page and the
reference list. You will be penalised 10% for every 50 words over the stipulated
word count.
▪ Using headings and subheadings in the report is essential;
▪ Submit your report in Microsoft Word format via Turnitin, under the Assessment link.

Assessment Task 3: Telecollaboration Project
Task Description:
The current global economy is at an exciting stage for cross-border work or international virtual teams. Cross-border work projects are dependent on remote teams and remote communication for their success. While cross-border work can be confusing, frustrating, and time-consuming, it is also rewarding and exciting. The organisations and individuals who conquer it will dominate much of tomorrows world.

Many, if not most, international or virtual cross-border teams are project teams: they exist to accomplish a particular purpose in a given period. Therefore, together with students from Cracow University of Economics (UEK, Poland) you will work on HRM related projects. This will be reflected in your ability to identify, describe, and discuss various aspects of emerging HRM issues and present your work in the form of an e-poster presentation.

Details of the assessment will be provided on MYLO.
Task Length:

How your final result is determined
To pass this unit, you need to demonstrate your attainment of each of the Intended Learning Outcomes, achieve a final unit grade of 50% or greater, and pass any hurdle tasks.
Submission of assignments
Where practicable, assignments should be submitted to an assignment submission folder in MYLO. You must submit assignments by the due date or receive a penalty (unless an extension of time has been approved by the Unit Coordinator). Students submitting any assignment in hard copy, or because of a practicum finalisation, must attach a student cover sheet and signed declaration for the submission to be accepted for marking.
Academic integrity
Academic integrity is about acting responsibly, honestly, ethically, and collegially when using, producing, and communicating information with other students and staff members.

In written work, you must correctly reference the work of others to maintain academic integrity. To find out the referencing style for this unit, see the assessment information in the MyLO site, or contact your teaching staff. For more detail about Academic Integrity, see
Important Guidelines & Support.
Requests for extensions
If you are unable to submit an assessment task by the due date, you should apply for an extension.

A request for an extension should first be discussed with your Unit Coordinator or teaching support team where possible. A request for an extension must be submitted by the assessment due date, except where you can provide evidence it was not possible to do so. Typically, an application for an extension will be supported by documentary evidence: however, where it is not possible for you to provide evidence please contact your Unit Coordinator.

The Unit Coordinator must notify you of the outcome of an extension request within 3 working days of receiving the request.
Late penalties
Assignments submitted after the deadline will receive a late penalty of 5% of the original available mark for each calendar day (or part day) that the assignment is late. Late submissions will not be accepted more than 10 calendar days after the due date, or after assignments have been returned to other students on a scheduled date, whichever occurs first. Further information on Late Penalties can be found on the Assessments and Results Procedure.
Review of results and appeals
You are entitled to ask for a review of the marking and grading of your assessment task if there is an irregularity in the marking standards or an error in the process for determining the outcome of an assessment. Details on how to request a review of a mark for an assignment are outlined in the Review and Appeal of Academic Decisions Procedure.
