Attendance / engagement expectations
If your unit is offered On campus, it is expected that you will attend all on-campus and onsite learning activities. This is to support your own learning and the development of a learning community within the unit. If you are unable to attend regularly, please discuss the situation with your course coordinator and/or our UConnect support team.
If your unit is offered Online, it is expected you will engage in all those activities as indicated in the Unit Outline, including any self-directed learning.
If you miss a learning activity for a legitimate reason (e.g., illness, carer responsibilities) teaching staff will attempt to provide alternative activities (e.g., make up readings) where it is possible.
This program is delivered through a combination of online instruction and activities and tutorials; you are expected to enagage in all activities and participate in tutorials.
Online: All digital content is delivered online through MyLO. Content is uploaded weekly, and you can work through it at your own pace during the week. However, we recommend you take the advice of course and unit coordinators to ensure you follow any specific unit guidelines. There may also be practical activities or other work that helps you to connect theory with practice.
Tutorials: Attendance at tutorials is highly recommended. Tutorials are an important component of the learning experience as they include regular opportunities for practice-based activities, group work and discussion, questions, and meaningful exercises that prepare you for assessment. If you are unable to attend tutorials, please contact the Unit Coordinator.
Wednesday 9-10:30am fortnightly, plus drop-in sessions (as per the MyLO calendar)
