Assessment Task 1: Project Output |
TASK DESCRIPTION: | The assessment task assesses the output of the R&D project.
The project will require the student to work towards the aims of the research project. The types of output can be diverse to explore the project’s aim for example, a systematic literature review, development/adaption of software, development/adaption of hardware, or analyses of the data.
The project output consists of the work output (due end of project) and a written report (due one week after end of project).

Assessment Task 2: Communication and Approaches to Work Evaluation |
TASK DESCRIPTION: | The assessment task assesses professional soft skills such as interpersonal communication skills and approaches to work in initiatives and ethics. A pre-formatted and scored performance evaluation, including comments, is completed by the student's supervisor and, separately, by the student.
There are two evaluations: one mid-project (10%) and one at the end of project (10%).

Assessment Task 3: Project Context and Reflection Report |
TASK DESCRIPTION: | The assessment task consists of two written reports:
1. Research context report (10%) - a document developed after discussion with your supervisor demonstrating your understanding of the R&D project that you are researching (due mid-project). 2. Reflection report (20%) - reflection and evaluation of lessons learnt and how they are relevant to your degree and your R&D project (due two weeks after the end of the project).
